The ultimate guide to finding the right haircut for your face

Put your best face forward by choosing the most flattering hairstyle to suit your face shape!

Did you know that finding the most flattering hairstyle depends on your face shape? So, just because a certain style looks great on someone else, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll suit you – and vice versa! Here we break down the best haircuts and styles to suit different face shapes.

For the girl with an oval-shaped face

Oval shapes look good with almost any style, but if your oval face is on the longer side, we recommended avoiding high up-dos or any style that further lengthens the face. Show off your perfect oval beauty with long blunt ends - and prevent hair from going flat and therefore making the face look thin by using the Pro Fiber hair care range. It's available in multiple formulas, each tailored to a specific hair concern.

For the girl with a rounder face

Those with round faces should avoid short and mid-length curls, which can make the face appear even rounder. Go for long and soft layers with different colour variations to elongate the face and use a hair oil like Mythic Oil to really accentuate your colour and shine.

For the girl with a heart-shaped face

Take the focus off of a wide forehead by adding in a fringe, or simply pulling the hair forward past the ears. Also, keep the hair length around the jaw to add volume to the lower part of the face, which balances out the shape. A wavy lob is the perfect style for heart-shaped faces, so don't be afraid to add a bit of texture through the lengths.

For the girl with a square-shaped face

Square-shaped faces look great when paired with waves, curls and a piecey texture; anything that softens strong angles. On the contrary, blunt, jaw-level styles are generally a no-go for square-shaped faces. A good tip to reduce the width at the jaw is to tie the hair into a half-up style at ear-level, letting the rest flow down over the shoulders into perfectly piecey waves.
