Instant highlights from L'Oréal Professionnel – Fast and effective!

Keen on luscious highlighted locks but don't want to spend a lifetime in the salon? Instant highlights from L'Oréal Professionnel have landed, to give you a fast and effective solution for creating perfect tailored highlights for your hair... in half the normal time*!

The Instant Highlights express lightening system from L'Oréal Professionnel is our first pro heat lightening system, designed to give up to six levels of colour lift, in half the time. Perfect for those hair highlight lovers who are time poor!

So how do we do it? With PRO HEAT technology, a three-part system featuring the Instant Highlights Heating Tool, Instant Highlights Lightening Crème and Instant Highlights Aluminium Foil. When combined, they work together to 'instantly' lighten the hair in a controlled and safe way. The PRO HEAT technology cuts out the need to wait around for your colour to develop through the use of controlled heat to accelerate the lightening process. This means a colour refresh can be achieved in half the normal time*!

The process:

The Instant Highlights Lightening Crème is first applied to small sections of hair (thick or thin depending on the look you're after). Next, each section is enclosed in pieces of Instant Highlights Aluminium Foil (18 microns), before heat is applied gently with the specially designed Instant Highlights Heating Tool. This tool maintains a constant temperature of 140C and regulates itself ever 0.2 seconds for consistent heat application. . It also features a separator that prevents the plates from touching together and helps the tool glide along the hair more smoothly, as well as conduct heat safely and more evenly. The lighter the colour you're looking to achieve, the more heat is applied.

The looks:

There are four different styles to choose from in the Instant Highlights services menu.

1) InstaContouring. Designed to instantly frame the face and accentuate facial features with clever contouring techniques and colour placement. It involves lightening 5 to 10 sections of hair.

3) InstaRevive. Touch-up any grown-out highlights with 10 to 15 sections. Designed to revive and brighten grown out ombré or Balayage.

4) InstaPastelage - After lightening 10 to 15 sections, add pops of colour throughout the hair from subtle pastels to bold statement shades.

What's the damage?

The features of the products to help keep damage to a minimum. For starters, the lightening cream contains essential oils to reduce the risk of heat-induced hair sensitivity.

Secondly, L'Oréal Professionnel's protective Smartbond treatment can be mixed into the lightening crème to prevent damage and leave hair softer and stronger. It does this by strengthening the weaker parts of the hair bond to make it better equipped to deal with the stress caused by colour.

Lastly, specially designed thicker foils are used to prevent exposing each of the sections of hair to too much heat.

So what are you waiting for? If you're ready for a tailored hair highlights refresh in half the time*, head into your nearest L'Oréal Professionnel hair salon ASAP!
