Pastelage has been spotted all over the runways, magazines and our screens. Our favourite colour incarnation of the trend? Anything pink!
Pretty in pink
Whether you opt for a subtle blush, a golden rose or a hot pink hue, there are oh-so-many ways to embrace the pink pastalage look. There's also a multitude of options when it comes to how tickled pink you want to go – anything from subtle streaks to brave balayage or a full head of fuschia. Not sure which shade of pink is right for you? Check in with your colourist about L'Oréal Professionnel #COLORFULHAIR, a direct dye in eight shades that can be blended to create all kinds of bespoke pastel tones.
Wallflowers need not apply when it comes to pink pastelage. If you decide to jump on board this trend, then you need to do it with supreme confidence and a hint of attitude. No matter what shade of pink you choose, there are no half measures when embracing cotton candy coloured hair. Select a shade of pink that's suited to your skin tone and wear it with conviction.
50 shades of pink
With so many pink shades to choose from, it can be hard to settle on just one – and you don't have to! The brilliance of pink is that a few variations of the hue can be mixed and matched together all at once! For instance, you can create a dip dye effect using a combination of a lighter pink and a darker pink – keeping the latter at the roots and the lighter shade at the ends. For a really bold look you could even try using your part as a dividing line for two distinct pink shades, featuring a different one on either side.
The only question that remains is how will you get in the pink?
