Humidity is off the charts and you can't seem to stay cool no matter what you do. Enter: hair accessories. But which is most flattering for you? We guide you through our two hottest picks right now: headscarves and fedoras.
Headscarves
This is one hair accessory that won't be going out of style anytime soon. Headscarves are bright, fresh, add a touch of fun to your look, and keep your hairstyle tidy and swept back. With hair up or down, fold your scarf in half, so it becomes a triangle. Proceed to fold the tip down repeatedly until you get a long single band. Take the band and position the middle onto the nape of your neck, pulling the two ends up towards your forehead. Tie the ends into a knot, then take the loose ends and tuck them under the band.
Fedoras
While they look stylish, fedoras also prevent sun damage, so wise choice. To rock the fedora, there are two preferred options: either tie your hair back into a low bun, or leave your locks loose and down. Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham and Miranda Kerr have all nailed the fedora, topping off the look with jeans, oversized sunnies and leather slides.
Can't decide which camp you're in? You're just going to have to trial both at least once! Headscarves are easy to come by, with more patterns and styles hitting stores by the minute. Likewise, fedoras are available in an array of colours, though we'd stick to the classic ivory, straw or black. Best of luck!
