Ultra-violet : get the 2018 Pantone coluor in your hair

This year is going to be all about Ultra Violet. It's hot, it's experimental and statement-worthy. Here's how to embrace the funky shade...

It's in the news!

The New York Times officially announced that Ultra Violet was the latest colour inspiration quoting Leatrice Eiseman, the Pantone Colour Institute executive director who said Pantone Ultra Violet 18-3838 "communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking."

Pretty in purple

Ultra violet is bold and vivid – yet it's neither fluorescent nor neon. This striking hue has officially become the darling of the creative world, so why not push out of your comfort zone and try it on your hair. Not sure you want to adopt it long term? Check out L'Oréal Professionnel #colorfulhair. With its gentle formula, it disappears after 15 washes so you can always go back to your original colour if you decide you're not the Pantone Ultra Violet 18-3838 purple type.

Pamper the purple

Remember, coloured hair looks best on hair that's in excellent condition – so be sure to pamper your hair, especially after colouring.

Try Pro Fiber by L'Oréal Professionnel for dry, broken, damaged hair. Your L'Oréal Professionnel stylist can run you through the protocol for the Rectify, Restore or Reconstruct solutions, to keep you hair healthy and shiny, even after colouring. Prefer to take care of your hair at home? We love L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque for lovely, smooth, shiny, happy 2018 ready hair!
